How can we ensure the proposed reforms to technical and professional education are successful and technical education is seen as strong and prestigious? These are the questions answered by our new report published with NCFE and written by independent policy consultant Mick Fletcher.

The report raises important questions for the roll-out of the Post-16 Skills Plan and for the reforms to technical education more broadly. The report, entitled “Reforming Technical and Professional Education: Why should it work this time?” includes nine recommendations of activity that the government should undertake if it is to achieve its aims and ensure that technical education is strong and prestigious.

The launch was launched at a special roundtable with the Rt Hon. Vince Cable.
