17 September 2019: AEB Devolution in the Tees Valley 2019 In the third in our series of seminars following the progress of AEB devolution, we are delighted to welcome Jacqui Banks, Adult Education Manager for Tees Valley Combined Authority, for this twilight session. Jacqui will talk us through the process Tees Valley has followed to take over the AEB from 1st August as part of its Devolution Deal, and give us an early update on how devolution is working. The Combined Authority has set ambitious targets for growth in its education, employment and skills strategy, ‘Inspiring Our Future’, aiming to make 133,000 jobs available locally by 2024. Jacqui will explain the CA’s strategic intentions, give an account of the data analysis her team has undertaken and outline the AEB commissioning process undertaken with providers. There will be plenty of opportunities for questions and discussion throughout the session. The seminar will be chaired by the Campaign’s Lead Adviser Tricia Hartley and will take place under the Chatham House Rule. Booking a place This seminar is a free event.
