Re:evolution, the
project which is successfully engaging young people in learning and
Young people who enjoy learning new things are more likely to receive encouragement from their parents. The results from the MORI Schools Omnibus survey conducted for the Campaign for Learning and sponsored by Select Education, confirms previous Campaign reports which show that parental support for learning is the most important factor in children's achievements at school. The Campaign for Learning's Equal Project is looking at how best to promote and deliver workplace learning especially to those with essential skills needs. The year 2 report is available shortly and findings from the project so far will be presented at a Dti sponsored event on 26 November. See events page for conference details. The TUC's union learning reps publication, The Quiet Revolution which was originally written by the Campaign for Learning is being revised. Susie Parsons in the foreword to the new edition says 'The Campaign for Learning is proud to be working with the TUC to support the development of these very important learning champions.' The LSC are currently raising awareness of the Skills for Life Quality initiative which aims to promote a 'whole organisation' approach to Skills for Life and professional development of the Skills for Life workforce.
