Further Education Funding Overview Masterclass
This one-day masterclass, delivered by Mick Fletcher, Policy Consultant to the Campaign for Learning, will provide participants with an overview of the funding arrangements for the FE sector, describe how they have developed and assess how they are likely to evolve in the future. The session will cover the funding of institutions and financial support for individual students.
In particular the master class will provide delegates with an understanding of the following topics:

■ Priorities and allocations - how are the budgets for individual institutions determined
■ The discretionary learner support funds (dLSF) and other arrangements for financial support
The session will consider both the arrangements for young people, managed by the YPLA and for adults, managed by SFA.
