How to deliver a learning to learn programme for your school

Jackie Beere, author, former Headteacher, SIP and trainer who is an expert in learning to learn, is running a one day workshop on 17 November on how to implement a learning to learn programme in your school.

Based on extensive evidence, metacognitive (learning to learn) approaches have been shown to have consistently high levels of impact, with pupils making an average of eight months’ additional progress*.

This workshop will help you as a teacher, school leader, headteacher and teaching assistant to:
  • improve the resilience and independence of all your students
  • improve examination outcomes
  • ensure students make optimum progress and overcome barriers to learning
  • improve the quality of teaching and learning in every classroom
  • develop an effective programme of intervention for disadvantaged learners
You will take home a toolkit of strategies which you can use back at school to start enhancing learning.
