NOW WE ARE 10…

The Campaign for Learning was started in 1997, which means we’re now 10! This means we’ve grown up a lot, can now write clearly, have developed a sense of humour - and are probably better than you are on the computer! We are now facing our toughest exam (even harder than SATS!) after being shortlisted as one of the five finalists in Sky’s Charity Search, in which Sky is looking for a charity partner for the next three years.

If we pass it would mean that we would have the chance to speak directly to people in one in three homes in the UK. In addition, the three-year partnership could be worth a total of more than £1m in cash (not gobstoppers!) and in kind support to us until we are thirteen!

Sky is asking its customers and staff who they think should be the next Charity Partner. So if you are a Sky customer (or employee) you can let them know you want them to select the Campaign for Learning. Sky customers can choose the Campaign for Learning on Sky Active by pressing red on their Sky Remote and going to http://www.jointhebiggerpicture.com/

If you aren’t a Sky customer (and even if you are) you can still help us by spreading the word through our facebook group (I Am Brilliant), downloading our poster from our website http://www.campaignforlearning.org.uk/ and displaying it anywhere you can, or using the following text at the end of your outgoing emails until 26 November:

Campaign for Learning has been shortlisted as one of ‘five stars’ from more than 150 applicants in Sky’s Charity Search, its search to find a charity partner for the next three years. The Campaign for Learning aims to engage more people in learning throughout their lives. Research shows that lifelong learners are more likely to be happier, healthier, have better jobs, contribute more to society and live longer and more fulfilled lives.

If you’re a Sky customer you can help the Campaign for Learning by letting Sky know you’d like them to select us. Sky customers can choose the Campaign for Learning on Sky Active by pressing red on their Sky Remote and by going to http://www.jointhebiggerpicture.com/ If you’re not a Sky customer, support us by joining our facebook group, I Am Brilliant (because we all are, whether we know it or not!)
