Ready to roll with Live Long & Prosper? In this section you’ll find a selection of off-the-shelf Live Long & Prosper activities. Each one is designed to last twenty minutes, so you can pick and mix your own programme. Click here to see a sample programme. The activities clearly set out the learning outcomes, your role as a ‘facilitator’ – and a script for you to follow – the group tasks and copies of any handouts. You literally just need to print and go! These resources will be available to download shortly.
Retirement Planning:
- Are you on the pension ladder? An introduction to the types of pensions, which helps people identify what they need to do to get on, or climb up, the pension ladder.
- Save now, play later A trolley dash which illustrates the limits of the basic state pension, and serves as a useful budgeting exercise to boot!
- Looking forward to retirement. A ‘health check’ on whether you are heading for the dream retirement, and an action plan to help you get there.
- Building your dream retirement? Calculating the cost of a dream retirement.
- Memory Lane. A reminiscence game, looking at the pension pros and cons pertinent to different ages and eras.
- As good as it gets. Facts about the basic state pension – more budgeting required!
- Play your retirement right. A game where people have to state which retirement investments will bring the greatest returns – from antiques to pensions.
- Have I got a pension for you?! A ‘Have I got news for you’-style, humorous quiz.
- The big pension questions. A physical, ‘decision tree’ activity, helping you to work out how healthy your pension prospects will be.
- The big pension quiz. A light-hearted quiz, written using PowerPoint, designed to test your pension knowledge.
