| £99 plus VAT 11am - 1pm With 142 schools converting to become Academies and 16 free schools going forward to the next stage, this session asks Where now for Academies and free schools? Professor John Howson, Managing Director, Education Data Surveys, will provide the latest data on the number and type of schools seeking to become Academies and free schools. Chris Waterman, Author of 'The Plain Guide to the Academies Act 2010’ will provide current analysis of the Academies Act 2010 and key implications for schools. And Mick Fletcher, 11-19 Policy Consultant, will examine plans for 14-19 Technical Academies and the implications of more schools with small sixth forms resulting from academies on the 16-18 FE sector. Mark Corney, Policy Advisor at the Campaign For Learning, will chair this event and plenty of time will be allowed for a round table discussion and questions. | ||||||||
