The government published on 31 March its new strategy for 14-19 qualification and curriculum reform. This session will examine the issues in light of the machinery of government changes to the 14-19 phase and the prospect of raising the learning leaving age to 17 in 2013 and 18 in 2015. Mary Curnock Cook, Director of Qualifications and Skills at the QCA will be providing an overview of the strategy and Mark Corney, Policy Adviser to the Campaign will put the reforms in context of the broader 14- 19 developments.
