| Using Learning to learn to develop parental and community involvement Time: 9.30am - 3.30pm Cost: £125 plus VAT Families are not only our first and most important teachers but they also teach us the most important things in life. The values, attitudes and culture that we learn from our families can stay with us throughout our lives. As schools engage with the Every Child Matters Agenda and its five key outcomes their is an increasing need to engage with parents and realise that ‘every family matters’. Parental influence is a key factor in a child’s success in life and the interest of parents makes a huge difference, regardless of class or income. Parents therefore are vital partners in a child's education. This course aims to demonstrate how sharing the learning to Learn ethos and techniques gives parents and understanding of the many ways they can support their child’s education. | ||||||||||||
