With funding from the Parenting Fund, the Campaign for Learning is giving fathers the opportunity to support their children's learning and development using innovative learning materials. If you are a business based in Birmingham we are offering FREE taster sessions to fathers within your workplace as part of Learning at Work Day. One-hour sessions will be offered within your workplace and are available between 17 and 21 May 2010. There are a limited number of spaces and the offer is on a first come first served basis. The Financial Services Authority (FSA) have developed a programme to help employees with money issues from budgeting to borrowing. Specially trained presenters can come into your organisation to deliver a free hour-long seminar supported by a free financial information pack for employees to take away. The FSA can deliver as many presentations as you need to reach your workforce: all they ask is for a minimum of 20 employees per session. The Campaign for Learning has linked with The Reading Agency, an independent charity working to inspire more people to read more, to offer a prize draw for organisations that run both Learning at Work Day and The Reading Agency's Six Book Challenge incentive scheme in workplaces in 2010. Organisations that involve a minimum of 50 employees in the Six Book Challenge, in addition to marking Learning at Work Day on 20 May, will be eligible for a national prize draw with a deadline of 30 June. The winning organisation will be offered a visit from a top name author courtesy of Transworld Publishers on a mutually convenient date in autumn 2010.
