Learning Providers: Expanding your learning provision

Learning at Work Day is an ideal opportunity to highlight the services you over to over thousands of workplaces across the country. 66% of organisations that ran activities on Learning at Work Day 2008 did so in partnership with external learning providers such as colleges, workplace learning providers, universities, information, advice and guidance services and other local businesses.

Other highlights from 2008:

• 291 events registered
• an estimated 101,000 employees taking part
• 880,000 hits on learningatworkday.com in May 2008
• National PR on 'The Big Learn' competition which was run in association with Reed Learning with celebrity chef Phil Vickery and schools minister Jim Knight MP taking part
• LAW day featured on Guardian and Telegraph online as well as trade press Personnel Today, Personnel Zone and Training and coaching Magazine
• High profile companies that took part in 2008 included BBC, DEFRA, Eurostar, O2, United Biscuits, Tesco and many more
• 97% of organisations holding LAW Day highlighted routes to further learning
