An estimated 6300 organisation took part in LAW Day across the country

In May 2007 there was an average of 804,000 hits on the learningatworkday.com site

LAW Day had a reach of 4,765,113 this included national, trade and regional media. National PR work also featured the Childhood Dream Job competition, which was notably successful in attracting celebrity support. Ricky Gervais, Prunella Scales, Linford Christie and Schools Minister Jim Knight were amongst the high-profile figures who revisited what they’d hoped to be as children. This competition was very successful this year, with a variety of coverage, most notably an article in the Guardian ‘Work’ section.

High profile companies that took part in 2007 included WH Smiths, Thomson Directories, MTV Europe, Bovis Homes, Lovell Partnerships, Allianz Cornhill, The Wrigley Co Nestle, BAA Gatwick, Virgin Atlantic Airways and many more

60% of organisations that run activities on Learning at Work Day do so in partnership with external organisations such as colleges, workplace learning providers, universities, information, advice and guidance services and other local businesses.
