Overview
Are you a retailer based in London, the South West or North East of England? Are you looking to develop the key skills of your staff, in a way that also improves their energy, motivation and loyalty to your business and the product(s) you are selling? Are you without a staff training budget, and looking for free, quick and easy activities to get the most out of your staff? Then read on: the ‘Live Long and Prosper’ project could well be your answer.
The aim of the ‘Live Long & Prosper’ project is to support retail employers to develop employees who are physically, mentally and financially fit for both work and later for retirement. It is about helping your employees to understand the key financial decisions that need to be made in order to live out a dream retirement. This includes budgeting, understanding tax and pensions, workplace finance and any other numeracy skills that will help your employees function better in the workplace. The project can also help retailers to address the physical and emotional well-being of staff – for now and for their future - by looking at how to alleviate stress, the impact that food and snacking has on our well-being, and how physical activity can become an integral part of the working day.
We will run bite-sized pilot activities in-store for employees, and then train you to deliver further activities yourself. The ultimate aim is to develop a ‘Live Long & Prosper’ culture in your store, so new and existing staff feel energised, motivated and financially able to take control of their working lives and their future.
