Trusts & Foundations

The support we receive from Trusts & Foundations is vital to achieving our aim of an inclusive society, where everyone has the right to learn, everyone understands and values learning and everyone has chances to learn throughout their lives.

Some of our recent and current projects, which are supported by Trusts and Foundations include:

Keepsakes supported by Sainsbury’s Indigo Trust

This two year innovative project is funded by Sainsbury’s Indigo Trust. It aims to support young adults and juveniles in prison to build their skills and reflect on their responsibilities as parents. The week long workshops bring together arts, Skills for Life (essential skills) development, technology and parenting in a supportive environment. The participants create a unique and long-lasting Keepsakes book for their children. It deals with topics such as ‘The first time I saw my child’, ‘My favorite places’, ‘The best gift for my child’, ‘Hopes and dreams’ and ‘Wishes for the future’.

All About Us supported by Esmee Fairbairn Foundation

All About Us is a book for families that has been designed for them to record the things they do and in so doing, become aware of potential of such activities and events. The emphasis is on ‘family learning’ and the book contains 'learning to learn' elements based on the Campaign for Learning’s research into how people learn. The book also includes information on children’s stages of development and signposts families to organisations that may be of help.
