State of the Nation
In 1998, the Campaign for Learning undertook a large-scale MORI survey on attitudes to learning of young people and adults across the country. The results influenced both the Campaign's own strategies and wider policy development.
Ten years on we re-ran the poll to determine if attitudes had changed. On Tuesday 25 November we launched this research at a Parliamentary Reception at The House of Lords. We were delighted to be joined by many colleagues and friends, including Lord Addington, John Hayes MP and Gordon Marsden MP.
"The Campaign for Learning has over the years successfully championed learning as a means to social justice, and made a substantial contribution to the debates on learning and skills both at a policy and practice level."
Gordon Marsden MP
On Tuesday 02 December 2008, teacher's.tv interviewed the Campaign's Chief Executive, Tricia Hartley, on the research findings. Click here to watch the interview.
