Gain much more than momentum.
Welcome

Get the ball rolling ...
National Learning at Work (LAW) day on Thursday 22 May is the perfect platform for stimulating workplace learning and skills. Last year over 6000 organisations took part from Bovis Homes to WH Smiths. You can read more about last year's participants on the right - we will have more inspiring ideas throughout the run up to LAW Day.

LAW Day is an annual awareness campaign organised by the Campaign for Learning (CfL) promoting and supporting workplace learning events across the country. It encourages people in public, private and voluntary organisations to offer learning to all employees including those that are traditionally 'hard to reach'.

The LAW Day team provides regional advice and guidance to organise your event, as well as free PR, online and printed resources, all under the umbrella of a national campaign. You can find out more by visiting www.learningatworkday.com

Learning across the Midlands
HM Revenue and Customs employees throughout the Midlands took part in activities ranging from cookery to touch typing. Activities run by Union Learning Reps proved so popular that there have been further requests to learn Spanish and yoga.
Benidorm comes to Morecambe
AXA Insurance Morecambe and The Adult College Lancaster worked together to promote the summer programme with Holiday Spanish attracting the most interest. They also ran a World Book Week prize draw to help keep the learning enthusiasm going.
E-learning for everyone
Molson Coors started their celebrations with adverts on the intranet to raise curiosity and then e-mailed all line managers promoting the day and suggesting activities to take part in with their teams. The e-learning portal, usually restricted to managers, was opened up on the day to everyone with activities from reflection time on personal development plans to workshops.
