Line Managers - Whose Role is it Anyway?

The Campaign for Learning's National Workplace Learning Network is holding a series of events around the country.

Line Managers - Whose Role is it Anyway?:

Are you a line manager or supervisor and do you feel equipped and able to help your employees reach their potential? Our research has found that first line managers are key to promoting and facilitating learning in the workplace and usually have responsibilities in relation to staff development. Line managers can either open doors for learners or be a barrier to progression. Yet first line managers do not always have the capacity to discharge these responsibilities effectively, needing to balance these duties with those relating to everyday operational concerns.

This event will help you recognise the importance of your role as learning facilitator and provide you with skills to effectively integrate that role into your day-to-day activity.
